​Certification: Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner.
Education: Dr. Lopez went to nursing school and completed her associate degree in Nursing from Ventura College. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Cal State, Dominguez Hills and her Doctorate in Nursing Practice with an emphasis on Family Medicine and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Brandman University. During her doctoral program, Dr. Lopez focused her research on educating medical providers on the importance of providing gender affirming care in the primary care setting.

Experience: Dr. Lopez has experience working with clients across the life span in a variety of settings to include outpatient clinics, county behavioral health clinics, and Medication Assisted Therapy in Addiction Clinics.

Getting to know Dr. Lopez: Dr. Lopez delivers individualized and evidence-based care that is compassionate and nonjudgmental. She takes a holistic approach to psychiatric care and provides clients with the opportunity to create a plan that meets their needs. When she is not working, Dr. Lopez enjoys spending time with her family, watching movies, and going for walks.
